Support Dogs has just launched a £1 million appeal to help introduce a national initiative to provide specially trained dogs to assist children with autism.
Based in Sheffield, the Support Dogs is one of the leading charities in the UK dedicated to training assistance dogs. If the £1 million target is met, the 4 year programme will enable the charity to help hundreds of people.
Marketing and Fundraising Officer for Support Dogs, Angela Gregory, said:
We are very excited to be able to announce the launch of the first national Autism Assistance Dogs initiative in the UK.
