Anti-bullying advice for schools

Schools Secretary Ed Balls has launched a new guide for schools to help stamp out bullying of children with learning disabilities.
According to Mencap a shocking 8 out of 10 children with learning disabilities have been bullied, and 6 out of 10

EDCM ask for the views of young people

Last year Every Disabled Child Matters (EDCM) asked their young supporters what they would change if they were Prime Minister for the day. Top of their list was “having more fun things to do and places to go”.

Flexible working hours extended

Is your state pension protected?

Have you ever heard of Home Responsibilities Protection (HRP)? It is a scheme which protects the basic state pension of parents and carers who do not work or pay National Insurance.
You may get it automatically if you have a child under 16 and get Child Benefit, but it’s still worth double checking.
